Embryonic Stem Cell Research
This first blog will be on a subject the majority of people in the USA seem to agree on, and this is the necessity to continue research with embryonic stem cells. The President has decided this research should not be funded by the federal government as he believes that in the process researches are killing babies. Embryonic Stem Cells (ESC) are harvested in the first three to five days. At this point they are literally invisible to the unaided eye. We need to decide if cells too small to see are more important than children and adults suffering from injuries and diseases.
Fortunately the State of California passed Prop 71 and this will allow the State to pass along $3 Billion to researchers in California. Perhaps others will follow suit. History has show that science should not be controlled by religious dogma as evidenced by the fact we would still believe the sun revolves around the earth.
